Village Administrator

The purpose of the Administrator’s Office is to implement the policies established by the City Council, provide financial accountability, recommend cost effective alternatives for providing City services and meeting Community needs, provide general management and oversight for the operation of other City Departments.


The Village Administrator oversees the following areas and sub departments: 

  • City Secretary: Recordkeeping, Elections, Agendas & Minutes for City Council

  • Accounting & Finance: Purchasing, Accounts Payable & Receivable, Financial Reporting, Investments

  • Human Resources: Payroll, Benefits

  • Municipal Court: Citations, Court Administration, Collections

  • Building Services: Planning, Zoning, Building Permits, Business Registrations, Agendas & Minutes of the P&Z Commission

  • Grants and Programs: Planning, Applications, Administration, Reporting

  • Sanitation Services: Billing, Collections

  • Community Awareness: Print Media, News Media, Social Media

  • Other Boards & Commissions: Keep Vinton Beautiful, Tax Accountability, Various Steering Committees & Strategic Planning Committees
